Marine
Scientist/Biologist
Padre Associates, Inc is seeking a mid- to
senior-level professional with education in marine
sciences/biology for our Concord, California
Office. This is a
full-time position.
Primary
Responsibilities.
Working with senior staff on a wide range of
marine-related projects including conducting focused field
studies, preparing study reports, conducting impact analyses
suitable for submission to resource agencies, completion of
marine-related analysis for permit applications and associated
CEQA/NEPA documentation.
Individual should be able to work independently or as
part of a larger multi-disciplinary team.
Qualifications.
The preferred qualifications are 1) bachelor’s degree or higher
in marine biology, biological oceanography, or related field; 2)
5 to 8 years of experience in environmental consulting 3)
certified SCUBA diver with experience in field data collection
methods; 4) good analytical and writing skills, and 4)
familiarity with the CEQA/NEPA process and/or permitting process
for coastal development projects.
Applicant must
be proficient with Microsoft Office, and have good writing and
verbal communication skills.
Hydrologist/Water Quality Specialist
Padre
Associates, Inc.
is seeking a mid-level professional with experience in water
resources, hydrology, and/or water quality for our
Concord
and/or Sacramento
offices. This is a
full-time position.
Primary
Responsibilities.
Individual will work with senior staff on a
wide range of water resource and wastewater infrastructure
projects throughout California.
Work tasks will include 1)
field and literature data collection and analyses; 2) CEQA/NEPA
technical sections preparation; 3) preparation of water
quality-related permit applications for state and federal
resource agencies; and 4) preparing and executing mitigation
monitoring plans, including field verification with agency staff
and construction contractors.
Individual should be able to work independently or as
part of a larger multi-disciplinary team.
Qualifications.
The preferred qualifications are 1) bachelor’s
degree or higher in hydrology/water quality, planning, or a
related field; 2) 3 to 5 years of experience in environmental
consulting 3) good analytical and writing skills, and 4)
familiarity with the CEQA/NEPA process and/or agencies’
permitting processes. Applicant must be proficient with
Microsoft Office, have good writing and verbal communication
skills, and work independently and as part of large and diverse
multi-disciplinary team.
Preference will be given to applicants with northern
California
and SF Bay/Delta experience.
