Padre’s San Luis Obispo (SLO) office offers the full complement of environmental sciences and geoenvironmental services. The SLO office commonly provides biological surveys, environmental permitting assistance, environmental site assessment and remediation, archaeological services, and environmental monitoring for construction projects. The Padre SLO office has a long history of working closely with the local agencies to assess and ultimately implement the effective mitigation monitoring programs for large regional projects. These have included fiber optic project, oil field and facility decommissioning projects and projects associated with the Diablo Nuclear Power Generation Station. Our office is also the base for Padre’s lead-based-paint/asbestos-containing-materials survey, abatement and monitoring services.
Mr. Prevost manages the geoenvironmental group in the San Luis Obispo office. As a Senior Engineer with Padre Associates with over 25 years of experience in the Civil-Environmental and Geotechnical engineering fields. Mr. Prevost’s primary responsibilities while at Padre Associates have included the preparation of grading plans and procurement of grading permits, construction and industrial storm water pollution prevention plans (SWPPP), erosion and sediment control plans (ESCP), managing soil and groundwater assessment projects, and managing remediation projects.
Mr. Vander Weele alongside Mr. Prevost manage the geoenvironmental group in the San Luis Obispo office. As a senior geologist with over 25 years of specialized experience in environmental analysis in support of complex remediation and energy infrastructure projects, with a focus on quantitative modeling and regulatory compliance. He has over two decades of experience in the oil and gas sector, contributing to development, remediation, and decommissioning projects with a focus on meeting stringent regulatory standards and optimizing project outcomes.
